We believe that any one can give back to need community by volunteering regardless the background of his/her professionalism. It would be much better if you have professional in teaching, Agriculture, Nurse, web designing, childcare giver, tourism management and many more. Please let us know if you are keen to work in Tanzania or stay with local people and understand their culture, language, or an environments after sign out from Serengeti, Ngorongoro,Tarangire,or Mt Kilimanjaro.

VOLUNTEERING IN GREEN HILL SCHOOL:
Our partnered school Green Hill English Medium is always looking for people like you to come and teach kids English language, sponsors, and learning your culture will be something great that every kid would like to hear from you.

VOLUNTEERING IN NKOARANGA ORGANIC FARM:
For five years we have been working and partnered with woofing Tanzania to make sure that we are growing enough organic crops for supporting our projects at Jabungu Foundation. The types of crops are bananas, coffees, maize, beans, and carrots. Our goals are to feed the kids from our community and to reduce the level of going to market to buy everything in our day to day consumption.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF VOLUNTEERS:
1. Teaching English to children
2. Cooking for children under supervisions of mamas at school.
3. Volunteer coordinator
4. Fundraising coordinator
5. Preparing children for school and drop the young kids to school and brings them home.
6. Control our social media and website.
7. Online volunteering.
8. Painting
9. We building project for chicken and classrooms for kids.
10. Outreach visit and teach the women about their rights and go to schools to teach young girls about self-awareness.
11. volunteering in horse and other animals.
12. Volunteer in tourism

We have another unique program for volunteers who are interested to work in the organic farm.

Not only this but we have a connection to Hospitals for Nurses volunteers and others who are looking forward to work in solar energy projects in the rural area in Arusha region.

Maximum working hours are ONLY 5 hours a day. We don’t work at weekends but rather have a very fascinating program to visit in Masai village, hiking, safari and other outdoors.

MEALS AND ACCOMMODATIONS:
There are various options for accommodation according to how volunteer would like it to be. Our mean is always considering both vegetarians and non vegetarians.

• Hostel and a few spaces in the project center.

FREE TIME ACTIVITIES:
During weekends and a national holiday in Tanzania that is your private time to go out in Arusha, go to Masai village for cultural exchange, Safari and visit hot water spring in Moshi. Also if you like physical exercise there’s a gym room. You can also decide to do a mountain bike for your own leisure.

LANGUAGE SPOKEN:
Swahili and English language is the most spoken language in the school, while most of the kids and other people in the village speaks Swahili much compare to English

VISA:
Your Volunteer VISA should be obtained from the Tanzania embassy in your country. It sounds a bit cheap when you have your Tanzania VISA in your country but you can also obtain it in Tanzania airport upon arrival. It will cost you $250 US dollars with 90 days validity.
