The Reality: Program overview
For years, the children of Sarame Village have faced a harsh reality: severely under-resourced and poor educational facilities. Classrooms are overcrowded, basic learning materials like textbooks and exercise books are scarce, and many bright, ambitious students are forced to drop out of school simply because their families cannot afford basic school fees, uniforms, or testing costs. Without proper facilities and consistent support, a cycle of poverty takes root, cutting short the immense potential of the next generation.
We refused to let that be the end of the story. Recognizing that education is the most powerful tool to break generational poverty, the Jabungu Foundation stepped in to change the narrative. That vision gave birth to Golden Hill Vocational School—a beacon of hope established right here in the region to bridge the gap between traditional schooling and real-world economic survival. Golden Hill was created not just as a building, but as a practical training ground where young people can master hands-on trades, modern skills, and sustainable knowledge that transforms their lives and lifts up the entire community of Sarame Village.
Current Status of the Projects
Thanks to our ongoing partnership with Lifetime-Projects, Ubuntu Safaris and Tour and Psf-Clermont Strasbourg France, we have already successfully funded education for 10 children, while our grassroots initiatives in Magugu have expanded to include a poultry farm, fruit farm, food crop farm, stingless bees farm, dairy cow farm, and the development of Golden Hill Vocational College.
