An enabling environment for the realization, respect, and protection of fundamental human rights among youth and develop their leadership qualities to make them active contributors within the society.
Our Strategy
A sustainable strategy is devised to achieve the maximum, a need based and right based approach initiated ascertains the problem with fully community involvement and mobilizing all indigenous and local resources. The program goal are materialized with a helping hand from members, donor agencies, Philanthropists.
The Foundation's Journey
Jabungu Foundation (JF) operates as a registered, independent, non-governmental, and non-profit civil society organization based in Meru, Arusha. Specifically, JF empowers marginalized and underserved communities, dedicating itself to capacity building and the delivery of essential services.
A group of educated, dynamic, and like-minded youth from the development sector established JF in 2021. They created the foundation in direct response to the urgent and pressing needs confronting communities across Tanzania. Consequently, the founders, leveraging their deep understanding of national development challenges, envisioned an inclusive organization that transcends geographical or sectoral confinement.
JF implements a broad range of interventions across various districts in Tanzania. These key sectors include education, healthcare and hygiene, youth and women empowerment, environmental conservation, as well as sports and talent development. Crucially, its programs focus particularly on the most vulnerable and disadvantaged populations.
The foundation’s approach combines grassroots engagement with active community participation. Therefore, JF emphasizes local involvement in all its initiatives. Furthermore, it places a strong focus on mobilizing women to foster peace, tolerance, and sustainable development.
