The Jabungu Foundation recognizes that good health is fundamental to a thriving community. Our Healthcare Program is dedicated to improving access to vital medical services and promoting overall well-being for disadvantaged and vulnerable individuals in remote villages across Tanzania, including Sarame, Burukeri, and Kibaoni.
Our Mission
We focus on preventative care, accessible treatment, and health education to empower communities to lead healthier lives:
- Mobile Health Clinics:We organize and support mobile clinics that bring essential medical check-ups, basic treatments, and medication directly to villages with limited access to healthcare facilities.
- Health Education & Awareness:We conduct workshops and awareness campaigns on crucial health topics such as hygiene, nutrition, disease prevention (e.g., malaria, waterborne illnesses), and maternal and child health.
- Access to Essential Medicines:We work to ensure that communities have access to necessary medications and supplies, reducing the burden of treatable illnesses.
- Support for Vulnerable Individuals:Our program specifically targets vulnerable populations, including children, the elderly, and those living with disabilities, ensuring they receive the care they need.
