Renewable Energy Projects Tanzania: Jabungu Foundation Solar Success

Empowering Communities with Clean Power

We lead impactful renewable energy projects Tanzania to transform rural lives. Our team recently upgraded our solar infrastructure to meet growing energy needs. This project ensures our operations run on 100% clean, sustainable electricity.

The Journey of Renewable Energy Projects Tanzania

Initially, we launched Phase 1 in 2023 with support from EDF. This system powered security lights around our college campus. However, the system lacked the strength to run heavy machinery. For example, our RO water filtration system required more power.

Consequently, we launched an extension phase in 2025. Synergie Renouvelable funded this critical upgrade. This new system fixed all previous power weaknesses. Now, our solar panels produce 16 KWH every single day.

Why Our Solar Strategy Works

    • Reliability: We no longer face electricity shortages or blackouts.

    • Sustainability: We reduced our dependence on expensive, conventional energy.

    • Cost Efficiency: Lower operational costs allow us to fund more to other projects and bring impact to the foundation.

    • Health Impact: Our solar system powers clean water filtration system daily.

Strategic Benefits for the College and Community

For the College: A Hub of Innovation

  • The solar system serves as a live laboratory for our students. It provides a reliable power source for our vocational training machines.
  • Because we have consistent energy, students learn without the interruption of blackouts.
  • Furthermore, the 16 KWH daily output powers our administrative offices. This efficiency allows our staff to focus on student development rather than energy costs.

For the Community: Health and Sustainability

  • The project directly impacts the health of the surrounding Sarame community. Most importantly, the solar system powers our advanced RO filtration system. This ensures a steady supply of clean, safe drinking water.
  • Additionally, the project reduces our carbon footprint in the Manyara region. We serve as a successful model for local renewable energy adoption. By lowering our operational expenses, we can keep our community programs affordable. Ultimately, this project proves that clean energy can drive rural economic growth.

Looking Toward the Future

Currently, our system meets all existing energy needs. However, we plan to further strengthen our capacity. We want to accommodate the future growth of our institution. Therefore, we seek partners to help us expand this impact. Join us as we develop a greener future for Manyara.
